Is the Ready Boost function in Windows Vista just a sham?

In the sense that it's a paper-thin excuse for Windows to keep having p*ss-poor memory management, yes, it is. The speed that data can be transferred through USB and the speed that data can be transferred to and from RAM are worlds apart.
