Should i bother with her?

So, there's this girl that was flirting with me and sending the signs of liking me, though she's from out of town (about an hour) and she already had a bf of 2 weeks. I liked her a lot, though that's just me. a few days ago, her bf broke up w/ her and she was apparently shattered. I was extremely confused, and told her that if she wanted to talk i was there. she said she would, but never did so i decided to just accept the fact that she's just a flirt. however, i also feel like its due to her being afraid of being alone and wondered if i could help from a purely platonic level. She's constantly got boys swooning over her beauty anyways, and seems to have lots of friends but i wasn't sure if anyone else picked up on this piece of her seeings as they wouldn't have had the outside view I did. maybe she already realizes her fears, maybe I shouldn't bother because of what she did to me anyway, but I would like an outside opinion.
