What will make cats stay away?

I park my car in a carport every night, and every morning i come outside to find my car covered in paw prints from some of the neighbor's cats. i don't want to hurt the cats, i just want them to stay off of my car at night. just want to find something that i can maybe spray that would deter the cats from wanting to be around that area. any suggestions?
