My brother is moving into his first apartment: any tips?

I am kinda in the same situation as you. We are moving into our first flat next sat (we cant get on the property ladder yet coz of all the mess with mortgage stuff) we have got all our stuff, kettle/iron etc from tesco/asda lol were taking my bed our computer/xbox etc. Were going for a black and white theme too. Black and white towels in the bathroom, and black and white plates and cups in the kitchen, stainless steel toaster and stuff. It depends how much money he wants to spend, theres Ikea, they have funky stuff. Online is also great. Have a shop around. Normally you can only buy a few bits in one shop, then have to try and match everything from another shop. But Id say online, argos/ikea. Dont forget to ring bank/docs etc to tell them his new address and phone number ESPECIALLY THE BANK! We have 2 bedrooms in our flat and were using the second one as a gym/study. Were so used to everthing being in one room at home, there'll be alot more space. Keep everything to a minimum and no clutter! It will make the house feel and look more modern and spacious! hope that helped in some way lol! x
