I want to do something special for my future niece or nephew,,suggestions?

Okay, my sister is having a baby sometime in july.she isn't sure if it's a boy or girl yet, but i want to give it something special every year for it's birthday. (kind of like how people give their children an ornament every year on christmas) any suggestions of something cute and special i could start giveng it every year would be appreciated! thanks!
